I am born in 1944 and during many years I practiced art such as goldsmith, aquarel, sumi-e and also ceramics.  With ceramics I found my passion and the synthesis of earlier experiences.

At a certain moment, my wife, fascinated by Ikebana,  decided to do a workshop for making a Kimekomi doll.

She worked with the marvelous material silk and not only the normal silk but the special that has been designed and made for the Kimono.

The result was fabulous and also I was enthusiastic about the beauty of these silks and the special patterns.

This triggered me to find a special way to combine these special silks with the ceramic.

At the same time I was influenced by Japanese art and culture.

The result is new, fresh and often breathtaking.

It is of an unexpected beauty.

I gave it the name:    “MARRIAGE of SILK and CERAMIC”.
